Hands-On Treatment for Sports Injuries

Sports injuries demand a different level of urgency and expertise — whether you're chasing a personal best, working toward selection, or simply trying to stay active in the sport you love, every day out of training matters. We've built our reputation working with athletes across the full spectrum of sport, from professional and Olympic squad athletes to dedicated amateurs and teenage athletes just starting to compete seriously.

At our clinic, we take a thorough, evidence-based approach to identifying exactly what's driving your injury, then build a treatment plan around you — drawing on the most appropriate combination of hands-on therapy, targeted rehabilitation, and advanced treatments available across our clinic, to get you back to sport, not just back to normal life.

Does this describe you?

  • You're carrying a niggle you've been managing around training, hoping it doesn't get worse
  • An injury is affecting your performance, technique, or confidence in competition
  • You've had the same injury flare up before, and want to actually resolve it this time, not just manage it
  • You're working toward a specific event, selection, or season, and can't afford unnecessary time out
  • Your injury happened suddenly, during training or competition, and you need a clear diagnosis fast
  • You're a young or teenage athlete, and want expert guidance as your training load increases
  • You've been told to simply "rest," but need a more active plan to stay conditioned while you recover
  • You want a genuine return-to-sport plan, not just clearance to stop feeling pain at rest

If any of this sounds familiar, you're not alone — and it's exactly what we help patients with, every day, whatever level you compete at.

DIAGNOSIS

Types of Sports Injuries We Treat

Each one needs a different treatment approach — which is why the first appointment exists to identify exactly which is yours.

Muscle Strains and Tears

Damage to muscle fibres caused by sudden force, overstretching, or fatigue, ranging from mild strain to more significant tears, common across almost every sport.

Ligament Sprains

Damage to the ligaments stabilising a joint, typically caused by a twisting or impact injury, common in the ankle, knee, and shoulder in particular.

Tendinopathies

Overuse-related tendon injuries, including Achilles, patellar, and rotator cuff tendinopathy, often building gradually with training load rather than from a single incident.

Joint Injuries and Instability

Injuries affecting the stability or structure of a joint, including dislocations, subluxations, and cartilage damage, often requiring careful staged rehabilitation.

Stress Fractures

Small cracks in bone caused by repetitive impact, common in endurance and high-training-volume athletes, and requiring careful load management to heal properly.

Concussion and Head Injury Support

Guidance and rehabilitation support following a suspected concussion, working alongside appropriate medical assessment to support a safe, graded return to sport.

Overuse and Training Load Injuries

Injuries that develop gradually from a rapid increase in training volume, intensity, or frequency, common across running, swimming, cycling and racquet sports.

Youth and Adolescent Sports Injuries

Injuries specific to still-developing bodies, including growth-plate related conditions, requiring an approach tailored to a young athlete's stage of physical development.

Post-Injury and Post-Surgical Return to Sport

Structured rehabilitation for athletes recovering from surgery or significant injury, focused on a safe, progressive, and confident return to full training and competition.

— OUR APPROACH —

How we can help.

Treating athletes is a different discipline to general injury treatment — the goal isn't just resolving pain, it's getting you back to full training and competition, safely and as quickly as the injury genuinely allows. Our team has worked extensively with athletes across a wide range of sports, including professional and Olympic squad athletes, and we bring that same rigour and understanding of training demands to every patient, whatever your level.

We start with a detailed assessment of the injury itself, alongside your training load, technique, and competition schedule, so treatment reflects the real demands you're under, not just the injury in isolation. Depending on your diagnosis, your plan may combine hands-on osteopathy and physiotherapy, dry needling or shockwave therapy for tendon-related injuries, and a structured, sport-specific rehabilitation programme to safely rebuild strength, movement, and confidence.

For younger athletes, we take particular care to tailor treatment to a still-developing body, working closely with parents and, where relevant, coaches, to support both recovery and long-term athletic development.
Whatever your sport or level, our goal is the same: a genuine, structured return-to-sport plan, not just clearance to stop feeling pain — because getting back to full training and competition safely is what actually matters.
